Wouldn't it be great if Kim Jung Un frees Bae

Rodman is apologetic and everybody's still mad at him (besides me, that is). I don't think he meant any harm and hopefully, it's been undone by his apologies to everyone, his first real lesson in diplomacy

It would be so cool if Un understands the trouble Rodman got into with his own country and frees Bae, regardless of the reason he was imprisoned. So many wrongs were done by North Korea before Un came into power and he's not responsible for all of them.

Rodman's drunken outburst may be just what was needed to bring him to his senses and he may now be a help in seeking the peace he went after because Un is one of his fans. I sure hope so.

We don't know why the uncle was executed, but Rodman no doubt knows. I hope he'll share this with us when he gets back with his team. One thing we heard wasn't true - he was not executed by wild dogs - he was shot.

What a fantastic foreign affairs representative, the best the United States has to offer and a true inspiration to the quality of American resolve.

If there were ever two examples of perfect synergy, is the misunderstood humanitarian Dennis Rodman, and the progressive proud leader "lil" Kim.

I'm sure he's a big ol teddy bear and will also donate to a Toys for Tots next year too.

Do you really want Dennis Rodman suddenly being viewed as our most important envoy to North Korea?

Personally, I kind of admire Rodman for going to N Korea. There were times when doing something like that would have one up on charges of being a traitor.

Who's To Say That Kim Jong Un's Position On HIs Country Is Not Moderating In Some Way.....

We already know that he's done away with his uncle and with it probably the hard line influence left over from his father's reign. Perhaps Rodman is having some effect on this - perhaps not. But I'm not going to criticize Rodman just yet.

Who knows - maybe in some strange way this is 'basketball diplomacy' and in some strange way it might be having some influence on Un.

Remember this:

Ping-pong diplomacy (Chinese: 乒乓外交 Pīngpāng wàijiāo) refers to the exchange of table tennis (ping-pong) players between the United States and People's Republic of China (PRC) in the early 1970s. The event marked a thaw in U.S.–China relations that paved the way to a visit to Beijing by President Richard Nixon.

I just think we should hold back our criticism of Rodman for the moment and see where this might take us.

CNN is certainly making hay out of this interview. But in fact I heard Cuomo say to Bae's sister that maybe we should thank Rodman for getting Bae's story back out in the mainstream media where it can be talked about again and attention be brought to it.

Stranger things have happened.

cut them off from the rest of the world, etc. Although, one can certainly say N Korea did it to themselves.

They have a new leader and just maybe Rodman can be the catalyst for something as Little Kim matures.

I kinda think that if our government really wanted Rodman to stay home, they could make that happen.
