The resignation of Governor Chris 'Bridge Troll' Christie

This petty bully (like so many of them) cried he was hurt by the dishonesty of his staff but not by his own actions or lack of action. Ten he played the victim. For bullies everywhere there are consequences.

Personally he's a fucking liar.

What say you.

But I suspect there is a lot more dirt left to be revealed and I am starting to think an indictment will eventually happen. If he gets indicted then I think he may have to choose between resignation and impeachment and in that case I think he will choose resignation. I do not expect this to happen for a while yet, investigations into this sort of thing often move slow.

I think he should resign immediately, and that he will refuse to do so. He would probably have to be forcibly removed.

He may be impeached.

He may be recalled.

But I have my money on him never resigning.

If he told us the truth and all the honest truth yesterday, his chances for the Presidency are pretty much done, but he will remain the Governor. (Why a bunch of dems are hedging bets right now. You really do not want to take chances if you know what I mean.)

BUT, here is where it could become real fun, any of what he said yesterday is proven to be anywhere from just a misrepresentation of facts to an outright lie, then we are very much off to the races. In the cycle of a scandal, him apologizing is pretty much bad news for his political career anyway

The fact that we have multiple investigations at multiple government levels in two states and the feds is pretty much bad news. And do not forget local reporters digging in further. If there is a scintilla of a lie, or misrepresentation, it will be uncovered.

This scandal will ensure that. This does not mean he will not run, he may run, he may but is highly unlikely to win the nomination. Still, he is damaged and is viewed as being more petty than Nixon.

Despite the deep, petty shittyness of this ridiculous ill-considered act of political revenge, the jackass Gov will not be held accountable in any way after he lays off a few choice members of his staff, and will go on to be a strong contender for the republican presidential nomination.

At least not over bridgegate. I don't think this will change much of anything for him, but of course I don't really know.

But I would guess his national career is pretty much cooked by his petty, vindictive little temper tantrum.

The Moron may have cost himself a job by messin' with other peoples lives.

Serves him right.
