So I was going to my brothers in Lafayette, CO today...

I had to stop and snap a few pictures. It's a shame they just don't convey the presence the mountains have here. If you have never been here, you really should make it a point to come.

The only thing more impressive was the folks I met - they loved the fact that I was on a motorcycle with Alaska plates! Great snaps - thanks for the memories!

I will never, ever, ever forget it.

...and those mountains also explain the existence of Denver, a city founded on the ethos of "Oh fuck that shit," which was the sentiment of many Westward-moving settlers when they came to the end of the plains and were presented with the Flatirons. "Yeah, no, right here is good."

If you'd like to see some others, go on to Flagstaff and view the San Francsico Peaks.

those houses(sprawl) and that layer of haze wasn't there and that was open space. It made for a better picture. The Californication of Colorado is now complete.
