that we must honestly face the fact that the movement must address itself to the question of restructuring the whole of American society. There are forty million poor people here, and one day we must ask the question, “Why are there forty million poor people in America?” And when you begin to ask that question, you are raising a question about the economic system, about a broader distribution of wealth. When you ask that question, you begin to question the capitalistic economy. And I’m simply saying that more and more, we’ve got to begin to ask questions about the whole society.”

Is there one anywhere out there?

Was Obama seen as an MLK type?

Could Obama evolve?

No one will EVER have the same impact as MLK, Jr. Let's hope NO man..black or white or brown EVER has to fight the fight Dr.King fought. Best we can do is....keep going. Keep fighting. One day,One step at a time.

MLK was a great leader. As a leader, he empowered millions of people to be able to stand up and demand they be heard, and they were.

MLK was just one man. But the overwhelming force of people that he encouraged was what made change happen.

My thoughts about Obama as he took the stage and captured the eyes and ears of so many in 2008, was that he would be able to do much as MLK did and inspire people to demand change. He even alluded to as much. That has not happened. We still are waiting on such a leader.
