Who wants Christie in the White House?

Who wants Christie in the White House?

I won’t quote too much more of the article — http://www.truthdig.com/report/print/the_trouble_with_chris_christie_20140112 but you can see I think it’s a must-read. I will give you a list, however, gleaned from the article. These people are named by Hedges as backing Gov. Christie’s 2016 bid strongly and promising “massive financial backing”:

The Koch brothers

Stanley Druckenmiller
Kenneth C. Griffin
Daniel S. Loeb
Paul E. Singer
Paul Tudor Jones II
David Tepper, all hedge fund kings

Charles Schwab
Stephen A. Schwarzman
Mort Zuckerman
Richard Grasso (ex-NYSE)
Maurice “Hank” Greenberg (ex-AIG)
John J. Mack (ex-Morgan Stanley)

Jack Welch (ex-GE)
Kenneth Langone (Home Depot)

I’m sure the list doesn’t end there. Your take-away: Everyone with big money loves this big man. It seems none of the billionaires can resist what he offers. He’s a perfect front man for the people to whom people are things.

2. Jack Welch was that SOB who "turned" Russert to the dark side.

Russert got all that money, that beach house in Martha's Vineyard, the tuition at BC for the kid, and he ended up dead.

He probably would have lived longer if he'd kept his integrity. Stress is a killer...

4. Short of massive fraud or a coup, a Christie presidency is not going to happen

1): He won't escape the Bridge and Sandy scandals. And this, we assume, is just the tip of the iceberg. All sorts of skeletons emerge in a presidential campaign.

2): His temper/behavior/demeanor can't outlast a grueling run … in other words, he's eventually going to lose it. Voters may embrace aggressiveness, but they don't like assholes.

3): Concern over his health will be too much an issue.

I don't even want him on a tour of the WH. The Big House is where he belongs-for a very long time.
