Dems have no say in passing "fast track". The Senate is the key to stopping it. And if one Dems even votes for "fast track" it will be labeled bipartisan.

(17,378 posts)A large contingent of Tea Partiers will balk at empowering the president on labor and environmental protections. If it is to pass, there would have to be substantial Democratic votes.
Remember, in 2002 Bush was only able to squeeze TPA by two votes through GOP House that was less skeptical on trade issues than today.
