Singer Justin Bieber was arrested early Thursday for drag racing and DUI in Miami Beach, police said.
Thursday, Jan 23, 2014
Bieber was in a rented Lamborghini, police sources told NBC 6 South Florida.
No other details of the arrest were immediately known.
Bieber has been spotted in different places around town the past few days, including a Miami Beach skate shop in a photo posted on Instagram.
The Opa-locka Police Department is also investigating an unauthorized escort of Bieber, a police spokesman said Wednesday.

(14,449 posts)It appears that Amanda Bynes has received the help she needed after a horrible year of attention getting. It is obvious that is what Justin is doing. I think he should be put in the same facility Amanda was in for six months (she was in a bit longer but not sure just how bad Justin is).

Anyway, it's really all Usher's fault. Usher should be forced to take him in.

(14,449 posts)Absolutely NOT. I was listening to the radio this morning and that exact question was brought up. After research that the radio commentator did. She said that the United States would NEVER deport Justin Bieber because the United States makes too much money on Justin to allow something like that to happen (at least at this time).

Yes, he could have killed someone while driving under the influence.
The combination of youth, money and fame can lead to bad decisions and addictions as we have seen time and time again.
My guess is he'll go to rehab, not take it seriously, get off with a slap on the wrist and if he continues on this path may end up in the 27 club...or sooner.

(16,846 posts)There aren't many of us who could totally keep it together in a situation like that. I think just about anybody in his shoes would go through a stage where they would have to test the limits of what they can do. I hope that one day he decides to test the limits of how much good he can accomplish. You never know.

(37,549 posts)rich enough--hire a driver. Hire a driver for a night. Heck....hiring a driver who will stay sober to drive your car will cost you less than the liquor.
Hire a taxi. Keep a car service number with you. Drink somewhere you can walk home from. Drink in a hotel and stay there----you have nearly unlimited options to party and be safe. USE THEM.

The driver, however, does bear a striking resemblance to the Beib.

That is hilarious but he needs his toys taken
away for a while before he kills someone.
His mommy is an airhead, she said "don't kick him when he's down."
What he needs is a swift kick in the ass by mommy but he would
probably cut off the $$$.

(15,064 posts)It's the life of a shallow, self absorbed, narcissistic rich punk. He needs help but he also needs to disappear from the idea that anything he does is big or necessary news. I think he's trying to change his squeaking clean image and will reemerge as an outlaw type and will make millions more because he will have cred. 289 people are killed in gun violence every day. I guess a story about not even one of these people is news because they're not rich or famous.

Their life was not easy, she worked part-time jobs, while raising Justin on government assistance in low-income housing. That said, he's made some horrible choices and needs to grow the hell up.

(20,582 posts)I've seen friends personally do really stupid things when they've finally gotten something they felt they'd been missing out on. I'm not making excuses for his recklessness or actions ... I just don't think it's fair to judge him as some spoiled rich kid who had everything growing up, when obviously he didn't, and I believe he probably had a tough time - unless his mother was completely able to shield him from her own demons.
He's rich now, because he made it so, whether you like his music or not.
Lint Head
(15,064 posts)but unless they are rich it doesn't make the news. Beiber does not live in the past. He lives now. I'm not judging where he came from. I could care less. We all come from various backgrounds and some much worse than Justin Beiber. Where he is now and what he does now is the thing. If he is mentally warped because he was abused he has enough money to at least seek help. Military veterans who have been warped because they saw babies killed in war are not rich enough to change anything. Sounds like he has "excuses" for acting like an idiot. I know he didn't come from wealthy parents. Neither did I. Things in my past could cause me to do some crazy stuff. I'm not Justin Beiber. I don't know his mind and neither does anyone else. Other than a psychiatrist. All a person can do is speculate.
polly7
(20,582 posts)He's old enough and has all the resources he needs now to get some help and stop his crazy shit before he kills someone.
I don't know his mind either, I just prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt, and hope they do better.
