Attention, parents: Young people are using a drink with a funny-sounding name sizzurp to get high, and the consequences are anything but amusing.
Doctors are warning that the drug, which is made by combining soda, candy and prescription cough syrup with codeine in it, can be deadly.
This is a very dangerous drug, said Dr. Robert Glatter of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. It can lead to seizures and essentially lead you to stop breathing.
Glatter told TODAY national investigative correspondent Jeff Rossen that hes encountered several teenagers hooked on sizzurp in his emergency room.
Its quite addictive, Glatter said. The sweetness of the soda and candy combined with the drug itself makes people want to have this all day long. ... They just dont know how much theyve had throughout the day and by then, its almost too late.

This is what Justin Beiber got arrested for being under the influence of, and it's also what 35 years of failed anti-drug policies have brought us. Thanks Reagan!

This is what a lot of people said Trayvon was going to make with his Skittles and tea.....implying that it justified GZ murdering him.

but of course that case was the great public "outing" of years and years of dormant racial stereotypes...

(3,378 posts)5. My understanding
is that you can't even make this Sizzurp stuff with Trayvon's skittles and tea. But, they just kept going at it, as if it justified him being slaughtered. The racism brought to light was disgusting.
