Suddenly everyone's coming out of the woodwork to talk about Christie's pay to play tactics.

What that tells me is that this is how politics really operates. They're only talking now because it's "safe" as Christie has been deemed expendable publicly.

Maybe in some places it's more "genteel" & covert, maybe in some places there's more of less of it, but it's not some unique corruption.

with our mayor daleys and mayor rahm. They somehow get away with it. But, our governors don't 4 of the last 8 governors went to the pokey so here's hoping blago gets a new roomie.

shut down, this pay to play tactic will sound "holier" (everybody does it) than some of the more egregious. Port Authority business is a mess.

But his problem is that his "tactics," plus the no-nonsense crusader persona he has so carefully cultivated, have congealed into pattern of a behavior that lays waste to his claim that he's an innocent babe in the woods surrounded by a pack of devious scheming underlings.
