NY Times thinks Dems at risk of losing Senate

A review of competitive congressional contests suggests that, at the moment, Republicans will hold on to the House, though Democrats could defy midterm history and gain a few seats. Senate Democrats, at the same time, are defending unfavorable terrain and will almost certainly see their majority narrowed. They are at risk of losing it altogether, an outcome that would leave Capitol Hill entirely in Republican control for the conclusion of Mr. Obama’s presidency.

Take a look at the rest of the article. I read stuff like this and all I can say is WTF. I mean, really. How many stupid people are there in America? How many women and poor whites are buying into the crap peddled by the party of anger, hate and cruelty? How many are brain dead enough to vote for a Republican? I guess there are enough people in those red districts and states to screw us all.

About all we can do is get out and vote and do everything we can to make sure that every Dem we know gets to the polls. The GOP has put up a lot of roadblocks to voting, but maybe, just maybe, we can stop them from dicking over America.

Assessment by someone at the NYT to not sync up with what I see. The republicans have gotten even worse on issues affecting women than they were in 2012. Their positions on birth control and against abortion in the case of rape incest and the life of the mother do not connect with the majority

Our illustrious media told us we would lose 2012, They told us the SC would rule against the ACA, and that marriage rights for gays, and gays in the military would not happen.

The wisdom of the press told us there would be an immigration reform in 2012, because enough republicans in congress were for it. It did not happen because of the republicans.

In fact most of the predictions the. Media as given us have been wrong, from the economy to the Middle East.

Why should I trust them now, especially from the paper who tolls us Iraq had WMDs?

As long as we get out the vote we will win

However, the GOP's gerrymandering, voter ID laws and "lost votes" just may be enough for them to gain control of the senate. It's not called winning. It's called stealing and we've seen them do it before.

On edit: The NY Times article was written by Carl Hulce. I don't know anything about him.
