No, I don't think there should be, but I'll get my ass handed to me if I admit that in public.

The loss of Christie as a serious candidate has brought on the press and poor Paul is finding out how weird his ideas actually are.

he could've given. If he said "yes", then it would've pissed off the RW high-rollers and the low-income idiots who make up the rest of their base. If he said "no", then he would've went against an idea that a majority of Americans want (including a large chunk of R's).

Ignoring the benefits, he'd have to work 24K hours at minimum wage to earn what he earns: that's 12 years fulltime

How hard does he actually work? Well, the Senate was only in session 152 days in 2013

Let's be both optimistic and generous, assume he actually works 10 hour days when the Senate's in session, and figure he deserves 3X minimum wage: he might deserve about $33K/year

CEO tells Daily Show ‘mentally retarded’ could work for $2: ‘You’re worth what you’re worth’
People don’t go hungry in a capitalist economy, Schiff claimed.

“It’s socialism that creates, you know, scarcity, that creates famine,” he said. “In a free market, there’s plenty of food for everybody – especially the poor.”

Schiff argued that eliminating the minimum wage law would allow more people entry to the workforce, and Bee asked him to identify someone whose work might be worth just $2 an hour.

“You know someone that might be? Maybe someone who is – what’s the politically correct word, you know, for mentally retarded,” Schiff said. “I believe in the principles this country was founded on.”

“I’m not going to say that we’re all created equal,” he said. “You’re worth what you’re worth.”

The GOP is actively trying to create a vacuum to suck up every last bit of wealth the bottom has left.

It's like they want to roll back every bit of progress since the guilded age. I wouldn't put it past him to say he's cool with repealing child labor laws as well.

Just change the national motto to "In The Oligarchs we trust".

Don't ascribe to them more power than they really have. Rand Paul epitomizes today's GOP. Clueless and delusional, not super-villains.
