Building their Clydesdale brand, back in the 90s they upped demand for clydes that meet their specs (geldings 18 hds, bay with blaze and 4 high whites, etc.) to serve at their various Busch gardens for the public to meet.

They were bought out by IBEV in 2009, which closed a number of Busch gardens and cut back on the numbers of horses. Breeders were stuck with the surplus and they ended up at auction. This rescue picked up a pregnant mare at one of the auctions and was able to trace her history to one of their suppliers, who owned the mare and co-owns the foal's sire with Anheuser-Busch.

So they aren't directly shipping them to the auctions. Their suppliers were a couple years back.

If I was an animal I would want to be a bud Klydesdale.They arent treated well ...they are spoiled beyond belief.If any trainer/handler ever was caught even talking mean to one of those horses they would be gone on the spot
