Koreas (both of em!) condemn Japan before Security Council,

...with China backing them.
Wild stuff:

NEW YORK, Jan. 29 (Yonhap) -- South and North Korea displayed rare unity on the U.N. Security Council Wednesday, as they fiercely condemned Japan for history "distortions."
The two Koreas, backed by China, said that Japan's conservative leadership is fully responsible for escalating tensions in Northeast Asia over history and territorial issues.
...
His remarks reflected uproar in South Korea over Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to the Yasukuni Shrine in December and his administration's decision to teach students that Dokdo, a pair of rocky outcroppings in the East Sea, is part of its territory.

what is being referred to at the link? This paragraph mentions something I did not know existed:

... the U.N. Security Council's "open debate" session with the theme of "War, its Lessons, and the Search for a Permanent Peace..."

TIA.

Phase 1: Explore, conquer, and settle.
Phase 2: Research new technologies
Phase 3: Denounce opponents and form alliances.

I've been playing Civilization since Civ2 in the 90's. Civ 5 is a fantastic game.

5. Maybe safe to say Europe learned from the horrors of WWII so the Far East needs to reconsider.

Squabbles over land, oil, ideology, and maps come to no good. I am not sure the United States has learned that lesson.
