The Real Reason Behind Rand Paul's Bill Clinton Bashing?

Mitch McConnell's weak position in Kentucky—i.e. the bit where his state does not like him very much—has been attracting national attention. It's about to attract more.

Former President Bill Clinton — known as the “Big Dog” — will come to Louisville this month for a campaign event for [Alison Lundergan Grimes], who is running for the U.S. Senate and trying to topple Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

“We are very excited to have President Clinton coming into town to make his first campaign stop of this election cycle,” Grimes said in an interview Friday.

“I was elated when he called and said he wanted to make this race his top priority,” she said.

The first stop will be on February 25th. Kentucky senator Rand Paul, himself is no McConnell fan, has been strangely obsessed with Clinton of late; Kentuckians may all need earplugs to survive the McConnell-Paul whines on this one.
_________

The article claims that Rand Paul is not a McConnell fan, but Paul has endorsed McConnell for 2014 and not Blevins, his tea party opponent. I think Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell's pact is about mutually assured re-election. His bad mouthing Clinton shortly before his campaign stop in the state affirms that.

Clinton won in Kentucky in 1992 and 1996. Guess they're counting on that to sway the voters there. freshwest Feb 2014 #1

But this is the not the same country as in 1996, before the Tea Party. It was amazing that Rand Paul won there after the bad publicity. We'll see if the Big Dog can over Mitch.

He can help Alison Grimes get the name recognition she needs to finish the race. Love him or not, Bill is the Big Dawg...the 'Splainer...and he does it with style.
