I know I am and thought that it was very shortsighted on the part of the workers but that is there choice, it does not matter how you feel on the subject unless you work there.
Now the question I have is how many bemoaning the vote always purchase US Union Made Automobiles?
I know I always buy union made autos and refuse to buy non union made automobiles, I won't even consider anything else.
Would Union Membership be so low if more people were purchasing Union Made Autos and other goods?

(35,369 posts)That said, usually purchase union-made for large purchases. Probably always, come to think about it, if I know where the thing was made.
In this case, though, I'm not going to punish the workers by not buying their product just because I think they made a wrong decision for themselves. If you think they already hurt themselves, why punish them even more?
The reason for not buying non-union is the presumption of employer resistance to unionization, it's to punish the company for dirty tricks and being anti-worker, to pressure them to change their practices. This time it looks like the company's clean and the workers made their own choice. I'm not going to sit in judgment of them.
Probably won't buy VW next time, mostly because I've never bought VW.
