Is the GOP tacking towards the centre? Tax reform that ups rates on Wall Street,

prominent GOPers being against anti gay laws in Arizona, passing the debt ceiling increase in February 2014...... are they going to make themselves out to be centrists when the tea party goes ballistic and starts attacking them? Is that the strategy to win the Senate in 2014? To use the nuttiness of Ted Cruz to make themselves look normal? We've seen a lot more Mitt of late too.

The Republican party is broken. They can't do anything that makes sense without having the nutjobs on their ass.

I don't doubt that there are some power players behind the scenes who know that the only possible long term strategy for their party is to move to the center every now and then. The problem for them is that if they do that it causes short term damage to the party they are trying to help.

Damned if they do and damned if they don't. The difference being that one path is long term damage which they can't afford and the other is short term damage which they can't afford.

The demographics are undeniable. By 2020 the Republican party will no longer be able to win national elections without miraculous improvements in votes from people who are not white. If they don't start moving to the center now they will have no chance at all. In fact, it may already be to late (at least I hope so).

All this garbage is the final attempt to hollow out the remainder of the middle class. This will complete the last leg of stealing the remainder of peoples wealth and transfer it to the 1%ers.

Pay attention folks, get your heads out of your behinds. This baby will be championed by the third way Dems watch and see.
