The lady doth protest too much, methinks

This is more than just a philosophical argument about the right against self-incrimination. This vigorous effort reveals several things:

1. There are more communications relevant to this matter between Kelly, Stepien and others than have been released thus far.

2. There is a real possibility that Stepien, Kelly & Wildstein have a problem with Obstruction of Justice. There appears to have been an affirmative effort to avoid public document retention laws by immediately taking public matters to private e-mail accounts.

3. There is something sensitive that they are trying mightily to avoid revealing.

4. These two believe that they are in danger of incriminating themselves. If there were no e-mails, texts or other communications or if they were innocuous or merely repetitive of what has already been made public, this hearing would not be taking place.

5. Stepien and Kelly are trying to avoid public acknowledgement of their personal relationship.

6. Obstruction of Justice is one of the predicate offenses that can lead to a RICO prosecution.

The briefing on the power of the committee to grant immunity will take another 11 or 12 days. I would not expect a ruling until the judge gets this briefing

Why is it always about ReTHUGs and never what they're accused of?
