18:19 - Mikhail Malyshev, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, is speaking to journalists. Giving an update on figures and the timeframe in which results will be released. Russian news agencies and state media are reporting that 93 percent of voters supported the union with Russia.

So I guess that means all those soldiers they moved in, plus the ones normally stationed there, voted. And let's see, the Ukrainian soldiers who were locked up on their bases & ships didn't vote. Yeah, 93% should be pretty easy under those circumstances.

when actual the percentage turnout , thought to be high, is known.

There are 1.5 million eligible voters according to BBC report http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26598832

Do you think the Ukrainian soldiers and sailors stationed in Crimea had a chance to vote? Yes or no.

But unless there were about half a million of them on base in Crimea, I don't think it would have made any difference.

Got anything more on the Russian passport holders? It could be true, but I'll wait for more than a tweet.

The overtly pro-Russia party there got 4% of the vote in the last election. That's the party headed by the guy who's now the prime minister of the place.
So color me skeptical.
