General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI like how the CNN anchors are jumping in pulling rank on this breaking news
Reporting the same breaking news. First it was a CNN International broadcast anchor doing a decent job. Then Don Lemon cut in to repeat the same information and now Anderson Cooper pulls ranks and pushes Don Lemon aside to report the same news
Breaking news is that possible 370 debris maybe found.

Thanks for the update! It must be hard on the families not knowing what is going on.

(89,248 posts)some actual reporting and discussion instead of getting the big flashy "BREAKING NEWS" .
it might make sense if it was different type of news. like the international breaking news involved international news, the us based involved some us based news.
but they did it on the same fucking story to tell us the same thing.

(89,248 posts)they have better resources . i don't think msnbc even tries to compete in this area . but sometimes it ends up helping them like during the boston marathon bombing when CNN and others were so hung up on being the first to report on things.
msnbc didn't rush and was the only one to end up getting it right.

(14,157 posts)SNL has not been good their last few first run shows.
I'll like to see a skit where the CNN anchors keep breaking in on the other CNN anchors with the same breaking news over and over again.

(37,159 posts)I won't be surprised at all if it turns out to be some other debris: stuff from a freighter that sunk years ago and has been floating for years, stuff washed from the 2006 Boxing Day tsunami that drifted out to sea and got caught in a gyre, whatever.
Might possibly maybe spotted some kinda unidentified stuff!!!!
Thanks, but I'll wait until searchers can get on-site and can be definitive.
