cnn has been pulling the wool over the viewers eyes. (what's new?) They

have been making a big deal out of showing a correspondent reporting that the planes are "about to leave Perth" at any time cause its about 8 a.m. and they have a 4 hour flight to get to the search area and can search for 2 hours and have to return to base because of fuel.
Give me a break.
If I were in charge, the planes would leave around 4 a.m. to reach the search area at daybreak to maximize the daylight hours, with another group of planes leaving so there is a short overlap in the search by a new group.
What brainiac thought up the "planes leaving at 8 a.m." bit?

search area at about 9am. If i am figuring this right, about right for the
angle of the sun maybe. If they can go 500mph which may be way too fast.
I'm not an aviator.
