California governor's race candidate has record including sex crimes and manslaughter...

Republican, naturally, who "has found the Lord."

GOP candidate for governor is a registered sex offender

Glenn Champ says his criminal record, which includes voluntary manslaughter and other charges, could help him deal with politicians.

this will could help him deal with politicians, whatever that means. The Lord failed to give him some smarts, tho', it appears.

In Illinois they have this fundy running for...(congress?) in a blue district who says "God is causing all the tornadoes and autism since we are so sinful."

Politically speaking, it looks like I oppose him at about every turn. However, is redemption not possible?

But I don't think so.

What is the recidivism rate anyway...90%? 95%?

And sex offenders are the worst.

It does require some self reflection, self awareness, repentance and work. This guy got saved and now he's a new man. These are his words.

Champ said the assault case "was just for picking up some underage prostitutes" and resulted in a 90-day jail sentence. He said he turned his life around after the incident.

He was convicted of attempted rape, and this is how he talks about his criminal record. Doesn't make him a standup guy in my book.
