(9,610 posts)Climate change is a symptom of a runaway economic system that values growth over EVERYTHING ELSE. We can not reign in climate change, pollution, poverty, starvation, lack of medical access, of any other major world issues while the current driving economic forces are in direct conflict with those ends.
Everything is a "don't look at the man behind the curtain" game.

(4,015 posts)Getting serious about climate change would demand serious steps that are not compatible with the economic paradigms that D.C. in general and Hillary in particular hold so dear.
It is a catchy theme for a campaign though. But I doubt that she can convince many people that she really supports "drastic steps". She certainly hasn't much on her record to indicate such intentions.

Given that, I have yet to see any "drastic steps" from her, or President Obama, or (God knows) any Republican candidate for anything.
