Paul Ryan QUIVERS As Bernie Sanders Outs the DIRTY SECRET Behind His Poverty Propaganda

"..Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) sent a shiver down Rep. Paul Ryan’s spine tonight by exposing the secret behind the his sudden interest in poverty programs..."

Sen. Sanders said, “You have folks out there now who have virtually no income coming in. They have families. They have kids. How are they going to eat? We have veterans out there trying to get into the food stamp program. To me, what you’re looking at is an ugly kind of class warfare where the people on top want more and more and more, and they’re pushing down in an incredibly terrible way the most vulnerable people in our country.” Rev. Al showed this graphic that illustrates who food stamp recipients really are:

Later Sen. Sanders ripped Republicans for claiming that the problem is that children get too much help from the federal government, “These are the same people who want to eliminate the estate tax, which applies to only the top three tenths of one percent of all Americans, which is the richest of the rich, then they are going after kids. The politics of this, Al, is what they are trying to do is deflect attention away from income and wealth inequality. Attention away from the fact that the rich are doing extraordinarily well, and tell their supporters that the real problem in America is that children are getting too much help from the federal government, and that’s the kind of mentality that we have got to fight back against.”

Sen. Sanders nailed it. This is a classic case of Republicans trying to blame the victims of their policies. Republicans crashed the economy, threw millions out of work, then blamed the unemployed, and their children for needing assistance. While the GOP tries to take the food out of the mouths of those who are struggling, the rich continue to get richer. The Koch brothers won’t have less money if children continue to get free school lunches. The issue is that the people at the very top continue to see their wealth grow while nearly everyone else is struggling to survive.

That’s the dirty little secret that Bernie Sanders exposed. Republicans refuse to limit themselves to encouraging the wealthy. They are on a mission to take everything away from everyone else, and give it to the rich. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) has been leading this new smokescreen with a war against the poor that has been disguised as budget cuts and poverty studies.

but if any kind of Democrat has more than a punchers chance then this can play, if it is honest, consistent, and unapologetic spoken in the native mode of dialog.
You might not get away with also having an F- rating from the NRA in one area or might have to be coal friendly in another or might have to play churchy in another but we can win on economics, we just do not want to.

In some cases it seems we'd actually prefer to lose than to do so.

Desires of the actual voters.

I am tabling for a local issue, and the lack of interest in elections is astounding.

And there is also a lot of anger. (People saying, "I voted for Obama, and we all see how that turned out.&quot

When both parties are owned lock stock and barrel by Big Industries' Puppet Masters, what else can be expected?

The author of the article was editorializing when he said;

"Sen. Sanders nailed it. This is a classic case of Republicans trying to blame the victims of their policies. Republicans crashed the economy,"

Don't get me wrong, I think we've been living in a trickle down economy since Reagan and it has failed miserably. Outsourcing our jobs to third world labor markets hurt as well. But the immediate reason for economic failure was the mortgage mess and bank failures. Greenspan poured on the gasoline with low interest rates but Graham-Leach-Bliley deregulation lit the match. Democrats had a hand in the latter move. But, you are correct, it was the author that extrapolated from Bernie's statement and not Bernie himself. I stand corrected.

as a "democrat politician." That truncated version of the word "Democratic" was coined by the RW so they could get the word "rat" into every conversation about politics.

It's an insult. It's intended to be an insult. Do not use it. Not here. Not anywhere.

But it's an understandable faux pas, and your post was otherwise spot on. Some have tried to exculpate President Clinton by saying he signed the bill at the butt end of his 2nd term and didn't really know what he was signing. I think Bill has been honest enough to fess up and say he knew what it was trying to do -- eliminate Glass-Steagle -- but didn't realize the damage it would do.

And I don't believe anyone on the right that's a politician is afraid of Sanders or Warren. The only thing they fear is middle class, working class, and poverty class whites waking up and realizing that brown people aren't the enemy -

Wealthy white men are.

That's the ONLY thing Paul Ryan fears those people who need to wake the fuck up. And those people who need to wake up? Rest assured they aren't going to catch Rev. Al on MSNBC tonight and they have no clue who Senator Sanders is.

They are too busy watching American Idol.

Paul Ryanosaurus has a brilliant and consistent message -

He wants to show you a plan that will further increase income inequality, damage the most vulnerable
and helpless members of our society, AND -

convince those same people to vote against their own best interests.
