[Q] Why do I keep getting emails from Healthcare.gov to enroll?

I signed up on the site back in October/November to get prices and instead of enrolling there, I just got a plan with Blue Cross.

They send me emails every few days telling me to complete enrollment before the deadline.

Do I just ignore these or what?

1. did you get that plan through the Website?

if not...that is probably why...

2. I get them too, for a similar reason.

3. As long as Blue Cross has confirmed that you are covered, you don't have to do anything.

they are just trying to reach everyone before the deadline.

5. Maybe the system hasn't updated.

If you JUST got a plan, the system may not know yet.


As long as you are sure you have coverage, I would ignore them.

6. This could also trigger that you start getting fined, so make a call after you get

something in writing showing you are enrolled from your insurer. Do nothing usually leads to unwanted situations.

7. I'm getting them as well, and signed up in February.

In fact, my premium is due again now.
