This hurts: 2 Firefighters Killed In 9-Alarm Blaze On Beacon Street

The firefighters who died have been identified as 43-year-old Lt. Ed Walsh and 33-year-old Firefighter Michael Kennedy. Thirteen other firefighters were injured.
Lt. Walsh, of West Roxbury, was married and a father of three young children, two boys and one girl. He has been with the Boston Fire Department for nine and a half years.
Firefighter Michael Kennedy, of Hyde Park, is a former Marine and has been with the Boston Fire Department for six years.

My respects to the firefighters and thier families.

Bad day for a fire with that storm offshore. The winds are strong out west of 495. They must be terrible in Boston.

Losing firefighters hits home, real hard, every damn time. Those guys are the ultimate heroes.

So sad, still in tears. My late uncle was a Boston Firefighter...these guys are the best of us, the bravest of us. We don't tell them that enough.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of the two who were killed. I hope those injured make a full recovery.
