I think this is one of the signs of The Apocalypse.

George H.W. Bush To Receive JFK Profile In Courage Award

BOSTON (AP) — Former President George H.W. Bush has been named a recipient of the 2014 John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award for the political courage he showed when he agreed to a 1990 budget compromise that jeopardized his re-election bid by violating his 1988 campaign promise not to raise taxes.

He's not my favorite US President, that's for sure. But he did raise taxes and that arguably cost him a second term. If you know what the Profile in Courage Award is about, you might conclude as I have that he deserves it.

Many arrows in the Dems quiver in '92

The economy was in shambles... He failed to even mention the word "recession" for months.

Remember .."It's The Economy Stupid"

He seemed "out of touch".. The supermarket scanner fiasco

Dan Quayle -v- Murphy Brown

Gulf War Vets and Syndrome was starting to gain traction...to their denials.

Bono calling The White House every nite on tour.

There were many reasons...

He deserves this award as much as his son W. deserves The Medal of Honor for his service in The Air National Guard.

The politically expedient thing to do would have been to refuse to do it because it would hurt his election chances. The entire Republican Party right now has paralyzed the government because they are scared shitless to offend any of their Neanderthal constituents.

Does he deserve a medal for that?

I don't think so, but nobody asked my opinion.
