My son has health insurance.

He's over 25, a very poor hard-working college student with a low-paying part-time job. He called me a week ago to tell me he'd signed up for a Silver plan.

$30 a month, in Georgia even. Would've cost $300+ without Obamacare. He was prepared to pay the fine, but tried the website again and found out he could get a plan her can afford.

Wow, what a relief. One less HUGE thing to worry about.

It's just not that great a plan, alas. And that's with a subsidy. He's 27 and he makes just under $30,000.

I'm relieved that he got it, of course.

Several of my grandchildren have ACA. One works with the program making sure Native American tribes are enrolled. She travels all over the US and to DC. I am really proud of her.

He also has medical bills that he is struggling to pay, because his insurance doesn't pay for all the care he needed.

He was paying $500 a month for COBRA, now paying $200 through the ACA. That's a huge difference!
