(46,192 posts)just making the point in general. because i know what it's like to not have insurance, to have insurance that doesn't cover preexisting conditions, etc. and what it feels like to gain such coverage.

(51,021 posts)because I have good insurance through work. But with a preexisting condition, I used to have no choice but to stay at that work till I retire. I'm not planning to go anywhere anytime soon, but it's nice to know I have the option.
I, too, have been without insurance. It's terrifying.
