Just great, Nevada's governor gets into the mess with renegade rancher...

Kissing up to the far-right.

NV Gov. Sandoval Defends Extremists Interfering With Federal Government Activity

By karoli April 9, 2014 10:34 pm - 57 Comments

Cliven Bundy has been using federal lands to raise his cattle. Now that the BLM is putting a stop to it, Bundy is enlisting everyone from the Oathkeepers to Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval in his cause.

Less than 100 miles outside Las Vegas, the Bureau of Land Management is putting an end to a decades-long dispute with far-right wing cattle rancher Cliven Bundy, who has used federal lands to graze his cattle without paying fees and in defiance of court orders. Bundy insists he has the right to use the land because "he doesn't recognize federal authority on land that...belongs to Nevada."

(snip)

Nevada’s governor is criticizing a federal cattle roundup and what he calls “intimidation” in a dispute with a rancher who claims longstanding grazing rights on open range outside Las Vegas.

Federal Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service officials didn’t immediately respond Wednesday to Republican Gov. Brian Sandoval’s call for the BLM to “reconsider its approach.”

Sandoval says he’s most offended that federal officials have tried to corral people protesting the roundup into a “First Amendment area.”

They tried to do the same thing to them. He should also try to protest outside a National Presidential Convention and see where he is put. F-ing idiot. He will fight for his shit but really does not give a shit when this happens to others. Pay up dead-beat Welfare Queen.

This guy has been using this land for decades without paying grazing fees.

Wonder if he's in favor of "welfare" because he sure seems to have gotten more than his share.

The situation can be considered potentially dangerous so keeping people away from the 'roundup' is prudent, IMO.

I also determined they are both idiots because they put a fucking picture montage up on YouTube. That is like the #1 no no on YouTube, so another massive fail. But thanks, now I have another channel to troll

I don't need to address any other points as I noted in my first response. This man and his wife are fucking idiots. Again, I was able to make that determination after about four seconds searching his name on YouTube.

I'm pretty smart so I don't need to waste any more energy on this dudes issues-

Anyway, check this out, did you know the thing god doesn't know? (also, DU has a cool thing called check spelling FYI )

How 'bout I buy an electric car and tap into the streetlight in front of my house to charge it, is that okay?

I could bypass my water meter too.

Hooray, FREE-DUMB!

This Bundy asshole is stealing from me, a citizen of the U.S.A., and you too if you are a citizen of the U.S.A..

It's no different then if he was working in a government office and taking supplies home for his own personal or business use. He needs a copy machine, he takes it. And paper too. And toner cartridges. Loads 'em into his truck and goes home.

Bundy is a thief. He doesn't want to play by the same rules everyone else is playing by.

I have relatives who are still ranchers and sometimes they get tangled up in bureaucratic red tape, but that's the nature of ALL business. It would be much the same if they owned a restaurant and one day they were required to install a grease trap because the city sewers were clogging.

My rancher relatives have got the original family homestead but they also use public lands, just as other businesses use public roads. Would anybody here support a business that overloaded its trucks, didn't maintain brakes and other essential safety equipment, and forced unskilled drivers to exceed the speed limit, falsify their logs, and take amphetamines to stay awake?

We humans are not isolated from the environment. When the natural environment is irreparably damaged, eventually we humans are damaged.
