GOP House Armed Services Chair exonerates Obama, Hillary over Benghazi

by John Aravosis at America Blog

http://americablog.com/2014/04/poof-benghazi-story-imploded-help-big-house-republican.html

"SNIP....................

GOP Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon, the Republican chair of the House Armed Services Committee, says he’s satisfied with how the US military – and ergo the Obama administration – responded to the deadly attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, including the US ambassador to Libya.

The news also exonerates expected Democratic presidential nominee, and then-Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton. More on that in a moment.

“I think I’ve pretty well been satisfied that given where the troops were, how quickly the thing all happened and how quickly it dissipated, we probably couldn’t have done more than we did,” McKeon said to reporters today, as quoted by AP.

McKeon then went on to plant a not-so-subtle dig at fellow Republicans who keep harping on “Benghazi” as if there were a real scandal there.

Implies they were under suspicion for doing something wrong. In my mind, one that thinks and functions, rather than those on FOX, they had nothing to be exonerated from.

GOPers are running out of bullshit blame games. Even the NV crapola didn't pan out for them ya'know - expecting a shoot out, deaths, injuries, blood, and so much violence, so they can blame the Obama government of first amendment rights stuff.

I'm tired of them. Good move by the government.

will continue to try to use the deaths of 3 Americans as a prop in their political theater, but it's good to see that at least a few are ready to move on to the harder and more serious work of making decisions about the proper role of US foreign policy in the world.

The rest of them (all the GOP) work backwards from what they want (Benghazi to be a scandal that sinks Obama and Hillary Clinton) and try to reconnect the scandal narrative to something (anything) that will make it 'real' to people (the base and moderates, people who make losse connections). It is obviously the only thing the GOP has.

"...says he’s satisfied with how the US military – and ergo the Obama administration – responded to the deadly attack"

All that will happen on FAUX News and Rush Limpballs is that they will a) Refuse to talk about it anymore (blessed relief) or b) will spin it as a exoneration of our brave god-bless-america troops, but still a condemnation of Obama. In fact they will reason that if the military was NOT responsible, the only ones left are Obama and Hillary.

You know, one or both sat around after they received panicked phone calls from that compound twiddling their thumbs, snickering at how much death and destruction would entail the longer they waited to call in the troops. I mean, is this what they honestly think????

I don't even know why I am even entertaining this but...Even if Hillary or Barack were that evil, and all the staff surrounding them, why would they even risk it politically? Yet there are so many idiots that just accept this.
