(12,155 posts)Unfortunately, I can't determine the gender of any of these cats, so I don't know how to react. Is this a video of two males being patronizingly chivalrous to the female who's eating? Is it three females cooperating as only females can?
At least none of them are breastfeeding.

(16,296 posts)who won't give up on anything they think they own. Since calicoes are mostly females, it looks like a true cat fight. The other cat is just an opportunist who sees a situation that he/she can take advantage of (like most cats) . I love calico cats for all their virtues of independence, stubbornness, plain cussedness, and meanness. Had one once who hated everyone and everything except me and not a day goes by without me missing her.

You don't make progress by undercutting your base and settling for scraps.
My real problem with this video is the a-hole who is filming this and letting their cats be in a situation where a real fight could break out. Why didn't they just cut up the meat and give them each equal portions? This is not a way to treat your pets if you want them to get along.

(32,324 posts)The "R" leadership can go all distracting about "look at the BLM vs farmers crisis."
The "D" leadership can be all "Hey, we won on Baghazi!"
Meanwhile the local activists are figuring out how to get our communities and our commons back to ourselves. And quietly we are dismembering the "Corporate Personhood" and the Big Conglomerates community by community!
