‘Shoe Truthers’ Wonder If Hillary Staged Shoe Throwing Incident

Last edited Tue Apr 15, 2014, 03:04 PM - Edit history (1)

SAHIL KAPUR – APRIL 14, 2014, 4:30 PM EDT

Call them the shoe truthers.

Some conservative media figures are openly wondering if Hillary Clinton staged an incident during a speech in Las Vegas on Thursday in which a woman in the audience threw a shoe at her. The shoe appeared to miss the rumored 2016 presidential hopeful, who ducked and made light of it, while the reported thrower, Alison Michelle Ernst, was booked by the authorities.

A blog post published Monday at the website of Fox News commentator Bernard Goldberg speculated that Clinton probably "calculated it beforehand," as is "almost always true" with things that happen to her.

"So it would not be stretching logic to suppose that Hillary arranged to have the shoe thrown at her," wrote Arthur Louis at Goldberg's site. "Remembering the Bush incident [when an Iraqi journalist threw two shoes at President George W. Bush], she may have calculated that this would make her seem presidential. This would explain why Ms. Ernst was not pounded to a pulp by Hillary's bodyguards, and why she seems on the verge of getting off scot free. Don’t be too surprised, the next time you visit Phoenix, if you see her sitting at a table in a downtown Hillary for President store front, stuffing and sealing envelopes."

Rush Limbaugh is now a Hillary Clinton shoe truther

The right-wing talk-radio king says Clinton's recent run-in with an airborne shoe might have been a false flag

ELIAS ISQUITH

In case you missed it, a woman threw her shoe at Hillary Clinton last week while the former secretary of state was giving a speech in Las Vegas for an event held by the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries. The shoe did not hit its intended target, and as you might expect, Alison Ernst, the alleged assailant, does not appear to be the most mentally stable person in the world right now.

So, to recap, Clinton spoke, a shoe was thrown, the shoe missed, the alleged thrower was arrested, and the world kept spinning.

But while that would seem to most to be the end of the story, Rush Limbaugh isn’t so sure.

Speaking on his radio show on Monday, the conservative talk-radio star and longtime Clinton antagonist half-joked that, while he hadn’t seen video of Clinton’s shoe-dodge for himself, because he doesn’t care enough to Google it, he wasn’t ruling out the possibility that the whole thing was staged in order to make Clinton’s critics — especially those who focus on her actions in response to the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi in 2012 — look like fools.

“I’ve got people telling me her reaction wasn’t natural,” Limbaugh said of the incident. “I haven’t cared enough to go try to find it. I really haven’t. Somebody threw a shoe at Hillary. Big whoop.”

Alex Jones to start his mad ravings about this? He seems to be the conspiracy "King" these days. I met a guy on line who swore Jones was the "Next Coming" or some such crap.. The guy was in love with Jones.. and believed every word he said. This is what we have become, and its all rather scary that the media reports all of it..even the crap.

The "shoe" will be on Faux News getting interviewed.

Fox news: " So Shoe, why did you fling yourself at Hilary?"
Shoe: "That's Ms. Shoe.
Fox news: " Sorry, Ms. Shoe."
Shoe: "Well, I was hired by Hilary when she came to Macy's to buy a pair of shoes"
Fox news: "What did she say to you?"
Shoe: She said, I need a reliable and discreet shoe thrown at me to stir things up and make me look Presidential. Do you think you can do that?"
I said , " Oh yes".
Fox news: " So tell us, what did she promise you in exchange for being thrown at her?"
Shoe: "She said I would go down in history if she becomes President. Or maybe I'll become famous like the ruby slippers in the Wizard of Oz and the glass slippers in Cinderella? Unfortunately, I was held in custody after the incident and slammed on a wall to kill a bug in the evidence room".
Fox news: 'Oh, my,sorry to hear that".
Shoe: " But I like to thank Fox news for posting my bail, you have a lot of nice shoes here."
Fox news: "Thank you, it's the least we can do".
Fox new: " So what do you know about your thrower, Allison Ernst?"
Shoe: "Not much, but her shoes on her feet were kinda envious of me and her purse stinks, that's where she had me hiding."
Fox news: " So Ms. Shoe, where do you go from here?"
Shoe: " Don't know now but it's hard to work alone, my other pair is at home in Ms. Ernst closet, haven't seen him since. Kinda miss him.All I know now is that he's been chewed up by her beagle."

I'd be PUMPed for a Clinton candidacy, mind you, but we need a good CONVERSEation at the debates!

Having Clinton deal with such ADIDAS true civic debate would be awesome and it might instruct or inform her policy positions to where she adapted them.

When the time was right, the subject was triggered to launch a shoe attack on Ms. Clinton which would so fire up the country's respect and admiration for her that she could ride that universal acclaim right into the White House.

Yep, that had to be what happened.

Seriously??? It's proven that Ernst is a few french fries short of a happy meal. She's a fan of the shooter of the Aurora movie theater in CO. She's now facing federal charges.

What worries me is that the woman came close enough to Hillary that, if instead of a shoe she had had a gun, we could have had a Gabby Giffords type of incident or worse.
