Lewinski is only indirectly about Hillary...it's about re-damagin Bill foremost

First, I honestly think the Vanity Fair article was damage control orchestrated by the Clintons to get a scripted message out at a timing of their choice. They had to have known the GOP would us this topic. But this way, there is some sense of control over the timing and content of the message.

THE GOP, I think, would have use the Lewinski escapade to hurt Hillary indirectly. It would have been used to try and silence Bill or at least damage this mssage making machine. It's about attempting to re-damage Bill. He was instrumental in Obama's re-election. He has a voice and still carries charisma, charm and can fire up a constituency. He would use all of those tools for Hillary....the GOP knows this. There is a strong possibility that the Clintons caught wind of a GOP plan and stuffed in back in theor faces.
