Sarah Palin: Hillary Clinton May Change Her Mind On Abortion Once She’s Grandma To a ‘Real Baby’

Sarah Palin: Hillary Clinton May Change Her Mind On Abortion Once She’s Grandma To a ‘Real Baby’
Source: The Raw Story

In an interview with Extra‘s Mario Lopez, former Alaska governor and vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin said that she believed Hillary Clinton becoming a grandmother could “open her eyes” on the issue of abortion.
“I think that it will kind of broaden her world view,” Palin began. “You know, I think anyone who’s a grandparent begins looking at — even further down the road, you know? We start thinking about things like $17 trillion debt that our nation is under. We’re going to hand that to our grandkids?” “Hopefully she’ll start thinking along those terms,” she continued.

Also,” she added, excitedly, “her daughter Chelsea is pregnant with the baby — it’s a real baby, not just some disposable something.”
“Now, I know that’s going to be controversial, but those who are, perhaps, in the position now to be a parent or a grandparent, they realize about the sanctity of life. How innocent, precious it is,” she said. “And of all places, it should be in the womb that these babies are protected — so maybe even on a social issue like that, she’ll open her eyes.”

Mario Lopez then asked her about her recent remarks at the National Rifle Association’s annual convention in Indianapolis, in which she declared that “waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists.” “The fact that they’re trying to take this comment and relate it to a sacrament,” Lopez asked, “what are your thoughts on that?” “Yeah, well, someone needs to get to Webster’s Dictionary and look up what it means ‘to baptize,’” she replied. “That means ‘to submerge.’ It means ‘to dunk,’” she said, denying any connection between the word and the sacrament.

I'm too old to worry about reproductive issues for myself. I'm pro-choice for my daughter and granddaughter, who are *human beings*, not vessels for the unborn.
My daughter will soon give birth to her second (and probably last) child. Both her pregnancies were difficult and she was/is under lots of medical care. She endured the discomfort and health dangers because she *wants* children (and she's a wonderful mother). I simply cannot imagine being forced to endure this life-and-health threatening process because the *government* dictates that once you have four cells in your uterus, your body and life are no longer your own. And this dictate from the same folks who are always screaming "small government"!

I'm a mother, grandmother, great grandmother. I'm also pro-choice. I don't see why becoming a grandmother should suddenly change the opinions you've held for years.

In Germany we had a little scandal because a decorated writer, Ms. Lewitscharoff, is disgusted by babys that are "not natural" in her opinion. She thinks children from artificial insemination are some sort of chimera, and she also dislikes everything may be out of what she thinks is natural.

I'm happy to tell you that most parts of Germany just laughed. Nobody will read her books anymore who has some brain.
Edited to add: She is a catholic.

Hillary Clinton's daughter earned three degrees, started work on her Ph.D., got married, became a college professor, and bought a $10 million house before she got pregnant. Your daughter got knocked up in high school by a hockey bum you wound up running off the second you didn't need his sorry ass to bolster your political career.
