Fox News Goes Searching For Outraged Americans, Finds Fox Hosts

Fox News didn't have to look far for public outrage over a porn-loving EPA employee.

Geraldo Rivera deployed his camera crew this week to a midtown Manhattan diner to get reactions from everyday Americans about an EPA official who watched porn at work but who remains at the agency. The diner is a place "where you do get a great cross-section of people living in the New York metropolitan area," Rivera said.

But among those everyday people were a couple of folks who might have been recognizable to Fox's most loyal viewers: Fox Business hosts Charlie Gasparino and Lori Rothman. The pair wasn't identified on screen by their names or titles, though, giving the impression that they were just two commoners having a meal.

"Here's the problem," Gasparino said. "You can't get away with that in private industry. There's just no way, you know what I'm saying? Government allows you to get away with it because essentially there's no one watching the store."

Rothman agreed.

3. Gee for the last 20 years of working on Gov Computers and Networks all the porn is basically blocked

for all users, you can't even use the USB or another port unless it is approved, normal web sites are routinely blocked now, as are sites that are running java and flash. I am pretty impressed if they are working in a gov facility on a gov network and gov computer watching porn all day.

5. Bullshit you can't get away with watching porn in private industry

My nephew, who is some sort of middle management junior executroid for a Fortune 500 company, tells me he spends entire days doing nothing but watching porn. And there literally is no one watching the store.

He isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's smart enough to know he's wasting his life at that job. He makes decent money but he's bored out of his skull, hence the porn. And he claims that many of his peers are similarly underutilized.

There's every bit as much waste, fraud and corruption in private industry as there is in government service.

6. As a public employee I can tell you that someome is always watching the store

Not just in computer usage but as grinding as it can be to GET IT DONE the checks are in place for a purpose. Not just job creation (we do buy things with our money you know) but in making sure that it is within parameters and accurate. More controls in the public jobs that I have had than in the private sector jobs that I have had.
