The South is waking up! Democrats surprisingly leading in red states.

Incumbent Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY)) is effectively tied with Alison Lundergan Grimes (D-KY) at (46%/45%). Incumbent Democratic Senator Mark Pryor (D-AR) is beating Republican Congressman Tom Cotton (51%/41%). Georgia Democratic Senatorial Candidate Michelle Nunn (D-GA) is running from within 4 points to even to all her potential Republican opponents.

These numbers are defying all the talking heads. There is a possibility that Americans are awakening. There is a possibility that Americans will start voting more in line with their interests. Talking heads already had it as a foregone conclusion that Republicans would win the Senate.

have seen loved ones die because of their despicable state governments. Republicans' tolerance for suffering is pretty big, but not infinite.

but alas they are soooooooooooo brainwashed into believing that Liberals/Progressives are your ultimate boogeyman. Mind you, some are waking up to this bullshit scenario.

Personally I'm glad I live in a Blue State. Gov. Brown will extend Medi-Cal (Medicaid) to approx. 1 million additional Californians.

We must do this. We can turn the Congress around if we have the will to go out and bring every Democrat to the polling place in November. This is the Democratic Party's year to change things up. We can do it.

to those they are supporting if the candidate does not support their other issues then their support will go elsewhere. Either they would get the candidates voting their way or they could vote them out on the next election. I think some like Cruz would have a hard time listening to this constituents but pressure to vote him out would be good.

Now, if only, Democrats in heavily GOP infested intermountain states like Idaho can organize and wake people up.

Last trip down the street to Democratic Headquarters here the rundown building was abandoned and closed. Crickets chirping among the 3 foot high weeds. Depressing.

On the upshot I had a great meeting over cocktails with a wonderful woman who has been working for a long time to organize Democrats in this wasteland. She's in her 60s and has been through quite a bit and has observed the rise and fall of Democrats for decades.

She suggested that I become actually active instead of just vocal. We cobbled a plan together where before the midterms I make a list of everyone I know and schedule in visits and conversations with people who refuse to vote, but obviously have Democratic principles. Sometimes my personality can be very withdrawn so this is an, "Alvarado's Leap," for me to do. What is helping me overcome my shyness is the reality that the GOP is strangling Idaho.

and as some have stated, real people's lives depend on it.

Every vote counts. Be on the left side of history.
