10. There was this asshole on NPR yesterday.

He had a British accent. He said President Obama's greatest failure in office will have been his failure to "fix" social security when he had a chance. He went on to say it would have been as simple as raising the retirement age because of the increase in life expectancy.

That is just one of the reasons the guy is an asshole. Life expectancy is only going up for high salary easy fucking job types. The rest of us probably won't make it to 70 years old. Besides, he never mentioned the much better choice of raising the fucking cap on contributions. It's like raising taxes on well to do motherfuckers is radioactive. Is Grover Norquist the only individual with influence in this country?

I was in the car. My sports radio station had some static so I switched to the static—free NPR station. I had earlier swore off the fucking NPR stations because of their stream of right wing propaganda. I only had the station on for a matter of minutes and the first thing I hear is we must raise the retirement age. Jesus Christ!

11. I hate NPR anymore due to crap like this.

They have an almost constant stream of these RWNJs on their programs. THEY NEVER mention other alternatives of shoring up SS (which bytheway is NOT in any kind of immediate crisis) other than goddamned cuts and raising retirement age. It's pure bullshit. Raising or removing the damn cap alone would fix it. Raising SS taxes (yep) would also fix it.

But those two things are NEVER mentioned, even by Obama.
