Woken up at 5am by a call from a police detective

My mother was found dead in her home this morning. Her health wasn't great, but this was not expected.

Take care. One thing i'll say from personal experience was that my mom died rather suddenly and basically in her sleep. There was no long lingering decay. I always felt that was a good thing.

My dad was born in Dec 1933 and mom in August 1935.

I like the picture.

I want to use one like that for my own obituary. So often an 80 year old is shown with their latest photo. As if they were 70+ all of their life.

I lost my Mom too, several years ago now. The first 24 hours are the worst. Try not to be alone. The first year of mourning sucks. After that it's not as painful.

My Mom gave me a lot of little signs she was still there with me, and came in a dream to me, too.
