A Reminder to those who would throw out the DLC bugaboo.

The DLC folded in 2011. There is no longer a Democratic Leadership Council.

That is all.

2. Third way has gained no traction.

And No Labels is universally ignored.

Grassroot activism neutered the DLC movement and the remnants of it that survive are toothless organizations that nobody really pays attention to.

In fact, whenever Third Way tries to insert itself into the debate, they almost immediately get shut down by rational progressives and whenever No Labels rears it's head, everybody seems to laugh.

3. Where did everybody go?

7. Some hid under rocks.

Others became MSNBC analysts (Harold Ford Junior).

And some of the lesser knowns have gone on to form other organizations with nothing near the old power of the DLC, and they get outted every time they try to insert themselves into the debate.

The new organizations are laughable.

Progressive activism worked. As long as progressives can identify the same sorts of ideas quickly and point out the flaws continuously, the new organizations will never gain the foothold that the DLC once had.
