A blurry photo of the newest rescue kitten, and an update...

She loves that box...to the left is Carreen, the little calico who had so much trouble...she's not a big kitten, but looks huge now compared to the newest one. Becase of my lousy camera, you can't really see her face...she's a tortie with cute markings and I think she's going to be very fluffy.

She's doing better, probably between 6 and 7 weeks old now. Took almost 2 weeks to get rid of her URI, it was a nasty one, and for a couple days she wouldn't eat, so I bottle feed and dropper-fed her with some mushed up stuff...she's back to eating like a little horse and has a lot of energy. Her left eye is better, still not great, but the vet says we can keep treating it and see. It doesn't bother her and she seems to be able to see out of it, so hopefully it is getting better and it's just a matter of time. I was more concerned about the URI because she was really wheezing and sneezing and seemed to have a temperature. I kept her in the bathroom at nights with a vaporizer and I think that really helped her.

Naming her Katie, as in Katie Scarlet O'Hara...I'm running out of GWTW female names!

Carreen, Suellen, and now Katie.

Technically two of the names are male names, but I thought those two were male when I first found them...and the names stuck!

I was saving that name for a neurotic cat, and Belle fits the bill!
