Live in Dallas or Houston and don't have anything to do this weekend? A bunch of folks are planning to head on out to East Texas to visit Big Earl's, reportedly the hottest "Gay Bar" in the area.

PITTSBURG, Texas (KRLD) – An East Texas restaurant is receiving unique backlash on social media after a waitress told a gay couple not to return, making a homophobic remark in the process.
Using Yelp and Google reviews, online activists are trying to make Big Earl’s Bait House and Country Store in Pittsburg seem like one of the highest rated and most recommended gay bars in Texas.
One Yelp review reads, “this place is great… you can really let your freak flag fly here.”

Another reads, “I’m a dude. I like dudes. And I appreciate a place where dudes can hang out together in dude-company.” A comment that is in obvious reference to the sign on Big Earls Restaurant that states, “Welcome to Big Earls, where men act like men and women act like ladies. No Saggy Pants.”

The food is whatever but the SCENE is simply TO-DIE. They don’t call it “Big” Earls for nothin (amiright?).

Lady-boys and boy-ladies acting so gender non-specific you’ll think you’ve died and gone to HEAVEN (New York City’s hottest boy party from the 90?s) Pittsburg, TX just got a whole lot Cher’ier and I for one can’t help but squeal with delight. Squeal, squeal, squeal, squeal, squeal!

Do yourself (and the lovely owners) a favor and get your bedazzled bottoms in this place ASAP!

The satirical reviews talk about how the food is mediocre, but the place's drag shows and gay events make up for it.
"This is still the best gay cruiser joint in Texas!" one review said. "I've picked up several dates there. All are very handsome, very gay men."
Users are also posting photos from gay pride parades to the Yelp page.
Some of the Yelp reviewers are planning to visit the business as another protest.
