Gallup: Republican Voter Enthusiasm Falls

Gallup: Republican Voter Enthusiasm Falls

Gallup released a poll on Sunday that showed President Obama leading likely challenger former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in crucial swing states this fall, and on Monday morning they put out numbers that show Romney voters less enthusiastic than Obama supporters. The poll showed 46 percent of Obama voters excited to cast ballots in 2012, verusus 43 percent of Romney's, a major drop in Republican enthusiasm in Gallup's data on the issue.

The decline is especially apparent among Romney voters, whose enthusiasm has fallen 13 percentage points from January, and now is on par with Obama voters' enthusiasm. Prior to the latest poll, at least half of Romney voters were extremely or very enthusiastic about voting, and their enthusiasm exceeded that of Obama voters.

The decline in Romney voters' enthusiasm mirrors the trend in enthusiasm among Republican registered voters more generally, which is down 12 points since January, 61% to 49%. Democratic registered voters' enthusiasm has dropped a smaller seven points, 58% to 51%.

2. How excited can you be to vote for a Party that is hellbent on destroying the economy?

Or vote for an architect of the business model known as vulture capitalism? Hard to be really enthused about your team when your team is probably going to help to economically destroy you, if 'your team' wins.

They don't care that under EVERY Republican Administration since Nixon the economy has suffered.. Every single one... The economy simply is not their strong suit but they will vote Republican anyway because it is their side.....Also they like crass, rude and nasty people, and in fact admire them so much they make the very worst in that regard as their leaders...The term "Mean Spirited" is a term of endearment for them..

Republicans need a break so they can come back refreshed and ready to cheer the deaths of the uninsured, death row inmates, aliens at the border, and women seeking life saving abortions.
