(115,693 posts)I've concluded that something needs to be done about the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993, which was the real basis of the Court's holding. That statute and earlier cases interpreting it allow business entities to be included within the definition of "persons." There are a lot of problems with RFRA, and maybe the next step is to agitate for changes in that statute. This was not the first decision interpreting "persons," for the purposes of RFRA, to include corporations and other "non-human" entities.
