Old dog's RANT: Hobby Lobby vs. Common Sense....
I have to speak the hell up.
NOW.
How is it possible that Hobby Lobby, Conestoga
Cabinets, etc etc can possibly believe that contraception is a bad thing? When did they decide that they should not pay for birth control? If these ...and I am including all the other 'Personhood' corporations that have yet to come out into the sunlight.. corporations want to impress me, let's look at a few FACTS:
1. Ain't nobody's goddamn business what a woman wants to do about her OWN body. Her doctor, her faith (MAYBE), and her own needs. I saw a woman come into our local soup kitchen, ..pregnant, had 2 squallin' tots with her..., and she could not afford to even feed the ones she has NOW. Of course, she was a good Catholic. Well, show me the FIRST check to feed those kiddies from the Vatican, and, by gawd, I'll apologize! Breaks my heart to see a person worried so much about a religion....any religion.
2. Everyday...every damned day...1 out of 6 humans do not get enough nourishment. There are (UNICEF'S FIGURES used here)...132 MILLION orphans running around and another 700,000 people basically disappear every year.
HEY HOBBY LOBBY...how about taking care of these poor bastards instead of trying to not pay for more unwanted suffering people?
And by the way, you phoney ass bags, you buy your cheap-o shit from CHINA, the NUMBER ONE abortion factory in the world. YEP.
When I see these 'Good Christians' like the Greenes and the Conestoga Methodist bunch demanding that they not pay for birth control, my head hurts. Where's their compassion, and why do they think they have to know what a woman does with her body? If they are truly CHRISTIAN, then SHOW IT by doing the right thing here, instead of trumpeting what ass hats you truly are. BTW: I'm 62 and Catholic, and I will fight the fight for justice, not just us. That's what the Gospel says, isn't it? YEP.
