THE US military is set to use new Terminator-style glasses armed with facial recognition technology designed in Brisbane.
The spy glasses, called the X6, are capable of matching the faces of thousands of people added to “watch lists” by government agencies.

Designed by the Osterhout Design Group headed by Ralph Osterhout – known as the real-life version of James Bond character Q – about 500 of the glasses have been bought by the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Dr Brian Lovell has been implementing facial recognition for the past few years and has joined the designer which has just released a beta hardware version of the glasses.

There should be a pool for the date when the first person is arrested as a terror suspect for NOT being in the facial recognition database.

When we posted a pic of some people and immediately when the photo was uploaded, before it was posted, two of the people were tagged correctly..a little creepy. .

7. I agree- body cams will be great for LE

Just like dash cams, eyeglass cameras will be great for good officers, protecting them from false charges, and bad for scumbags who manage to make it on the force.
