Prostitute gave Google exec a fatal heroin dose, police say

Last edited Fri Jul 11, 2014, 02:40 AM - Edit history (1)

Police called it murder. A married Google executive and a high-priced call girl allegedly had an encounter in November on a Santa Cruz yacht that left the executive dead from a heroin overdose.

But as the case came to light Wednesday and made national headlines, Santa Cruz County prosecutors charged the purported prostitute, Alix Catherine Tichelman of Folsom (Sacramento County), with manslaughter.

The move suggested they don't believe they can prove an intent to kill, even though authorities say Tichelman was caught on video injecting her client with heroin, stepping over him as he fell unconscious, finishing a glass of wine, and closing the boat's blinds before slipping away.

Tichelman, 26, had been arrested Friday after police lured her to the Santa Cruz area by posing as a customer and offering her $1,000 for sex, authorities said.

Self-edit to add:

Of course this young lady is presumed innocent until proven otherwise in court. I have no idea what other evidence will eventually come out that might exonerate or further incriminate her.

Alix Tichelman wrote on June 28 that it was "really nice to talk with someone about killing sprees and murdering people in cold blood...and they love it too."

"No judgement. Yay!” she wrote. “F*** all of that positivity bulls***. Take a look around you. Life is hard and then you die."

This is just a guess - no evidence to back this up - the guy probably wasn't an addict and probably had very little tolerance. He asked her to hook him up, and she did so with too much or maybe just too potent a dose. I'm sure it was accidental, but it's probably still manslaughter since she caused his death by her illegal actions.

But damn they keep on doing it don't they. I like your casting a woman as EVIL because some asswipe asked her to shoot him up like the whole John Belushi thing. These idiot/addicts of the famous ilk are declared more valuable than the prostitutes they hang out with for some reason that thoroughly escapes me.

On the surface, Hayes seems the model Silicon Valley success. Married for 17 years to his wife, Denise, and the father of five children, Hayes started his working life in his native Michigan in the automotive industry before segueing into tech.

There, his résumé includes polished nameplates such as Sun Microsystems and then Apple, where he was senior director of worldwide operations. That led to a post at Google X, the search engine giant's division that is focused on "moon shot" programs, such as the self-driving car and Google Glass. http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/2014/07/09/google-exec-hayes-killed-by-call-girl/12422797/

She has been working in this world for more than twenty years and says that prostitutes and mistresses never surprise her (for the women it's yoga instructors and personal trainers). People with lots of money, but little time and often dubious social skills.

The hard drugs though are apparently really unusual. She has rarely seen cocaine and never street drugs.

Some of the people close to him are acting shocked at the whole hooker and heroin thing, but I wouldn't really expect his friends to come out and say that they knew about his personal secrets, especially if they knew his family too.

It sounds like she's shot people up and stepped over their bodies before. This one just happened to die.

I imagine she wouldn't be too popular in the pay-for-play world if she called for "help" over everyone who passed out after their sex and drug trysts. She wasn't hired as a nurse for the night.

in response to the comment by the police detective in the video, who was insinuating that she just left him there. What else do prostitutes do? They are paid to show up and leave and keep it secret. Maybe she didn't realize he was in distress...? She was hired for sex and drugs, not as a nanny to tuck him in bed and kiss him goodnight. It's a cold-blooded business and she acted cold-blooded.

But now there was another man in her past who died from an overdose?

http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/10/justice/prostitute-yacht-killing/index.html?hpt=hp_t2

(CNN) -- The death of a Google executive on a yacht is raising new questions about the death of a nightclub owner on the other side of the country -- because of the possible role an alleged prostitute played in each case.

Two months before Hayes died, Dean Riopelle, whom Tichelman identified online as her boyfriend, died at his home in Milton, Georgia. Tichelman was there at the time, and she called 911.

"Her story was: She was in the shower, heard a large crash, and then found him unconscious on the floor," Capt. Shawn McCarty of Milton police told CNN Thursday.

"I think my boyfriend overdosed or something, he, like, he won't respond," she said in the brief call, shortly before hanging up.
