On MSNBC
the biggest fucking joke
On Thursday, Speaker John Boehner released a draft resolution authorizing the House of Representatives to sue President Obama over the delay of Obamacare's employer mandate. Is there any precedent for this suit? How would it proceed?

But will it be enough for them ?

(9,289 posts)It is time for Congress to reclaim its powers. His usurpation of the legislative's powers sets a precedent that the next Repuke president will use for God knows what.

(9,289 posts)the law is one thing, but he is just flagrantly making up his own laws because Congress is not doing its job. I mean, I am sympathetic to some degree with what he is doing, but it does set a dangerous precedent.

(286 posts)So, do you think the President is making up his own laws when he delayed the employer mandate? I believe the ACA gives him the flexibility to do these sort of things. Plus, didn't the Repubs want this delayed anyway?? What horseshit. And I read in another thread that W waived fines for people when Medicare Part D was put into place. There was no outcry there - so what is the problem now?? Repubs are just a bunch of whiny little babies.

(9,289 posts)Having looked into the issue further, things are much more complicated than I thought. I need to think further about this.

I'd love to see Obama address a joint closed door session of Congress with a Louisville Slugger in his hands and his sleeves rolled up.

They like to talk of tyranny. I'd like to see him give them a reason to cry foul. Like momma would say to a crying child "Do you want me to give you something to cry about?"
