Family pet peeves...

Do you have one that just frustrates you?

My brother lives with me and he will never eat the heel of bread loafes...or put lid on bread saver...after a few days that piece can become disgusting and mold the whole loaf if not careful...

I know not really that bad but i'm sick of having to always eat the heels because I can't stand wasting food.

Whats your family pet peeve?

When I realized how many grave injustices there were in the world the pet peeves just melted away.

4. The clue to eating the heels is to get them crunchy

I could have lived on bread heels, honestly, because they made the best grilled cheese sandwiches. I always squashed the sandwich between two hot cast iron frypans and 5 minutes later I'd have the perfect sandwich, crunchy and crusty on the outside, and gooey with melted cheese on the inside.

I live with a cat and she's almost 21 and pissing all over the kitchen floor instead of using a litter box that's right there, next to the food dishes. I know it's most likely a combination of senility and being unwilling to step over the lip of the box (it's low) due to joint issues. So I've got the floor covered in Chux pads. Her appetite is still good. When it isn't, I'll have to say goodbye to my last cat.

10 years ago (!!) DH's 1987 Ranger died. It's been in the driveway slowing rusting away ever since. Says he's going to fix it and has parts (he's in the auto parts business) but never gets around to it. Still has the "Don't elect him this time either" 2004 anti-W bumper sticker on.
I don't even notice it anymore but every time we have people over it's "why dosen't he get rid of that thing?" And when people try to find our house I just tell them "third house on the left, the one with the dead white truck in the driveway." Sigh.
