http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/brown-took-shelter-the-bathroom-avoid-contraception-questionsIts why New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R), for example, went to unintentionally amusing lengths to avoid saying anything about the Hobby Lobby ruling. But as Paul Lewis reported, even Christie wasnt as evasive as former Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.), now on the campaign trail in New Hampshire....
At that point, Brown reportedly took shelter in the bathroom. When the reporter waited in the diners parking lot to follow-up, the Republican candidate exited, ran into a car, and left.
As a rule, when politicians feel the need to literally run away from questions, its not a good sign.
In Browns case, the history on this matters. As an incumbent senator (in a different state) running for re-election two years ago, the Massachusetts Republican endorsed the so-called Blunt Amendment, which would have effectively enshrined into law what the Supreme Courts conservatives did last month.

Not a very good week for Scotty. As previously reported, he doesn't even know what state he's running in.

(43,890 posts)3. Martha Coakley.
Coakley committed a number of gaffes during the campaign. When criticized for leaving the state for a Washington fundraiser instead of campaigning, Coakley responded saying "as opposed to standing outside Fenway Park? In the cold? Shaking hands?" Coakley also referred to Red Sox star pitcher and Brown supporter Curt Schilling as "another Yankee fan," making her a butt of jokes by late-night comedians, including Jon Stewart. In addition, with twenty days to go before election day, Coakley chose to take a five-day vacation, while Brown continued to campaign around the state.
