Get a Taste of Antigay Bakery's Ex-Gay Cakes

An Oregon bakery that refuses to bake wedding cakes for same-sex couples is now proudly touting cakes made for an ex-gay organization.

Sweet Cakes by Melissa, which rose to national attention and drew the ire of civil rights organizations in 2013 for refusing to make a cake for a lesbian couple’s wedding, posted a photo to its Facebook page of baked goods commissioned for Restored Hope, a religious organization that advocates for gay conversion therapy.

“Cakes for Restored Hope Network. What a wonderful ministry!” the caption to a photo of five cakes adorned with the group's logo read, in addition to offering a link to the antigay group.

Restored Hope, which is helmed by “ex-lesbian” Anne Paulk, rose to prominence after the demise of Exodus International, formerly one of the most prominent ex-gay groups in the nation advocating for the belief that gay people can be turned straight through prayer, counseling, and "treatment."

Especially the sheet cakes. The lump in the lower tower cake looks like a last-minute repair job.

They're all a bit saggy, and the scrolling is uneven along the sides. The back half-sheet looks to be the worse. They're "proud" of these cakes? I'd expect cleaner, more even lines and better piping from a professional baker - not a product that looks like someone who just graduated from a three-day Wilton's Cake Decorating class at the local Michaels.
Heck, our local Navy Commissary has an in-store bakery that produces better looking cakes than those cakes.
And they don't care what the occasion is for. They just want to make a great looking cake or cake grouping for a reasonable price, and get plenty of happy return customers.

there are many other wonderful bakeries in the area to fill the need. I'll remember not to stop in at Sweet Cakes when I'm in the area.

then people could be "prayed abstinent" ... Yet the human race goes on despite 2 millennia of abstinence as birth control.

Same stupid crap. "Somebody is having sex, and enjoying it, it isn't ME, therefore it is an OUTRAGE!"

What were that lesbian couple thinking when they wanted their cake made from these no-talent fools?

This is supposed to be a professional bakery? Hell, if it weren't for the doily thing underneath the sheet cake I would be hard pressed to see the difference between professional and any ole cake made in someone's kitchen.
